I'd like to give you a sneak peak on what I've been busy at work on lately. I'm starting a non-profit to encourage others to do good deeds in their community. This would be volunteering to help poor/weak or simply taking extra time to hold the door for someone. Although the website's not up-and-running yet, I've been hard at work at developing it. Ideally, members can collect points for doing good deeds, and use those points to get online or real world certificates of appreciation. Doesn't it feel good to help others? It will also contain an updated log of 'events near you' you can search by state, then refine to see what events are in your region. This feature will start by only being available in Massachusetts. Next Steps I'm currently using a home chore tracker for a beta member point tracker. After SABI gets off the ground, I'm looking to apply for a grant or use crowd funding to purchase a more advanced website platform to be able to manage membership accounts. For the development of this business, I will be using Chore Wars for memberships. Of course, my immediate next step will be to finish the SABI website and a Chore Wars account "chore" list, so members can sign in and complete service tasks. As soon as I'm able, I intend on releasing the website link onto the Skyhigh Enterprise blog, and you guys can be my beta testers! I apologize if I am less active on the blog for the next couple of weeks as I finish developing the SABI project. I'm looking forward to seeing the impact we make together!

Susan Srikant has a passion for theater. The interview below explains her experiences and advice for following your passion. You can find her website here.
What makes theater so important to you? “I think kids get to express themselves, learn teamwork and learn about the art of scenery. If you work hard on memorizing your lines then that will pay off. It’s just fun to put on a performance." How have you been involved in theater/theatrical productions? “When I was in elementary school, I did after school drama class. That was a lot of fun because I got to play different characters. Also as a kid, our neighborhood put on several plays, including Hansel and Gretel and a Dracula-like play. Then, when I had kids, I held an after school drama class where we put on several plays that I later decided to publish so other people could perform them.” How do you think theater effects society? “I think it brings people together, like a celebration. I think it brings out the best qualities in people; strong characters, hard work and an overall warm feeling of community.” What would you tell to people interested in theater? “Make sure you jump at any chance you get to be involved in any kind of production. You’ll have so much fun. Work hard. Practice often.” What would you tell to people about following their passion, as you did with theater? “I think it’s really important to figure out what you love and go after it. Sometimes it might be hard, but if you really love something you should stick with it.” Besides celebrating that today is a day off from school or work, let's not forget that today is Martin Luther King Jr's birthday.
