You can make these cute origami heart Valentines in less than 5 minutes. They're perfect for home decor, school valentines, or a little love note. Click the read more button below to find out how.
Supplies: All you need is scissors and a sheet of paper any size. Thin paper works better, I would recommend not using card stalk.
Fold the bottom right corner up to the left edge of the paper, forming a right triangle. Cut the excess paper (the paper above the triangle) off.
Unfold the triangle. You should now have a square piece of paper. Fold the paper in half and in half again.
Unfold the folds you just made (the are creases to help you fold easier in later stages, and they're also your guideline for the instructions). Fold the bottom edge of your paper up, so it aligns with the middle, horizontal line. Crease the paper.
Flip the paper over. Take the bottom right corner and fold it so it aligns with the middle, vertical line. Do the same for the left corner.
Flip the paper over. Fold the right edge so it aligns with the middle, vertical crease. Do the same for the left side.
Fold the top right corner to align with the middle, vertical line. Do the same for the top left corner.
Here comes the hard part! Take the top of the paper and fold in to align with the bottom of the paper. DO NOT CREASE the top flaps.
Fold the flaps down, "squashing" them. Fold the middle of the flaps in, making a triangle. This step doesn't work well with thick paper.
Tuck the top half inside the flap you created in the bottom half.
Fold the top right corner in, aligning with the center of the flap. Do the same with the left corner.
Fold the top corners in again, so it looks like a heart.
You're done! You can write on them, hang them, or try making a variety of different colors and sizes!
